S.k.Y.k.I.t. Episode 1: Sneaking Out Of Camp My eyes widened at the sight of the older warrior. I crouched down beside Marbelstar, my fur fluffing out like it was being blown on the wind. I could not find any words; it was as if I had forgotten how to speak, not only had I been caught by the leader but now by a stern warrior. My little outing had gone south quicker than you could say mousedung. |

Midnightsong noticed the kit's uneasiness.
Marblestar smiled at Midnightsong, and flicked her tail slightly towards Skykit, and seemed to have a brief conversation with Midnightsong using her eyes. Midnightsong nodded slightly.
"Oh, just out and about." She said casually. "Skykit needed a little time out of the nursery, so we took a walk" She tried to hide a smile
Midnightsong: "I see....Did you have fun, Skykit?" The warrior asked, smiling a bit. "I always love a good walk. I love to just get out by myself and have time to think."

S.k.Y.k.I.t. Episode 1: Sneaking Out Of Camp I nodded slowley, looking into her dark colored face. She always reminded me of a kit who entered my dreams with black fur and blue eyes. I had a feeling she was my sister but I had never asked her.
"N-nice walk." I stammered feeling those eyes boaring into me from some unseen blace. But I had to ask.
"Marbelstar do I have a sister?" |

Marblestar looked taken aback. "What?" She asked, in a surprised voice "A sister? I...uh...well..." She said, looking uncomfortable
Midnightsong peered at Marblestar curiously "Marblestar...why are you stammering? Are you feeling ok? Should I go get the Med Cat...?" She lifted a paw, ready to fetch the med-cat if need be
Marblestar: "Oh, no I'm ok..it's just..." She shifted her weight from one paw to another and looked around
Midnightsong:"Just what?" She asked. She narrowed her eyebrows as she watched Marblestar closely. Why is she acting so weird?

S.k.Y.k.I.t. Episode 1: Sneaking Out Of Camp I stared at her, does she know something I don't? For some reason I didn't think the clan leader was telling us everything, did I have a sister? By now I knew that Watermelon wasn't my real mother, and Applekit wasn't my real sister. I was "taken in" as the elders told me just like a famous ThunderClan warrior Cloudtail.

Marblestar's eyes danced around as she tried to decide where to begin "Ok....I suppose you are old enough to know the truth. Skykit.....the black kitten you keep seeing, is your sister...Shadowkit. She lives in Shadowclan. You also have three more sister., Meadowkit of Meadowclan, Heavenkit of Heavenclan, and windkit of Windclan. And....you have three brothers.Bloodkit of Bloodclan, Thunderkit of Thunderclan, and Riverkit of Riverclan." She took a deep breath and waited for all this to soak in.
Midnightsong starred at Marblestar with her mouth open. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. That kit has a sibling in every clan!
Marblestar: "There's something else too..." She said quietly.

S.k.Y.k.I.t. Episode 1: Sneaking Out Of Camp A chill went through my paws at her words. Something stirred inside of me and I knew at once that she was right. A deep longing filled me, making me ignore her other words. Although slightly matrue for my age, I was still a kit.
"Can we go see them?" I squeaked blinkin up at her with wide, gray eyes. I didn't know that the clans don't often do such things, all I did know was that I had a family and I believed them to be close by. |

Marblestar: "Go see them? I'm sorry...I don't think we can do that....it's just not that simple.." I wish it were that simple. I would like to see them myself. Oh why does life have to be so complicated?
Midnightsong: "You said there's something else...not trying to pry, but may I ask what the other thing is?" Her curiosity was overtaking her. She couldn't image what else there possibly could be on top of having a sibling in every clan.
Marblestar: "The other thing...Well. Skykit...You mother was....." He voice grew softer, as memories came flooding back "She was my sister....I'm your aunt"

S.k.Y.k.I.t. Episode 1: Sneaking Out Of Camp I almost fainted, in fact I stumbled backwards, my small legs collapsing underneath me and crashing me into a solid wall of fur.B.u.R.r.O.w.L.e.A.f. Scene One: Sneaking Out of Camp Part Two I was just returning from a hunting expidition with a squirrel and two small sparrows clamped firmly in my jaws and my soft brown fur windswept from the early newleaf breezes that played around our hunting grounds. Spotting Midnightsong and Marblestar, I almost said hello when a flufy little bundle crashed into my left foreleg. I set down my catch and looked down at the little creature. It was unmistakably Skykit, who seemed to be in some state of shock.
"You okay little fella?" I asked, nosing him gently. |

Midnightsong was a bit shocked, also. She had grown up with Marblestar. She knew Marblestar had a sister, but she never really paid any attention. She was always so busy training to become a warrior. She tried to remember what Marblestar's sister had looked like. She could vaguely make out the image of Marblestar's sister. In a moment more, she remembered everything. She had picked up bits and pieces when they were younger, but now it all made sense!
Marblestar took a few small steps closer to where Skykit was. She lowered her head a bit, and looked at him with concern.
Midnightsong recovered from the surprise and finally noticed her friend Burrowleaf. She mewed to him in greeting and smiled

I looked from Marblestar to Midnightsong to Skykit and back again, my blue eyes finally settling on the green of Midnightsong's. I got swept up in her green gaze but still raised my eyebrow at her in a silent question, what was he talking about? |

Marblestar: She sighed. You knew this day would come. Time to face up to it "You mother.....has passed away already, Dear..." She said sadly
Midnightsong shook her head slightly, meaning, "it's complicated." Then her eyes darted around, then she looked back to him. This gesture meant, "I'll explain it to you later..."
Marblestar: How hard this must be on poor Skykit. To find out in one day that I am his aunt, he has three brothers and three sisters, each of which is in a different clan, and therefor cannot visit them, and on top of all that, his mother is dead. His mother....my dear sister. Marblestar looked like she was about to cry, but she didn't

S.k.Y.k.I.t. Episode 1: Sneaking Out Of Camp I was still too young to fully understand death but I knew that Applekit's daddy had gone to the stars. I wished my friend was here with me. Tears filled my eyes and splashed down my cheeks. I was still a kit and well, I acted like one.B.u.R.r.O.w.L.e.A.f. Scene One: Sneaking Out of Camp Part Two I nodded to Midnightsong, we just knew each other too well like siblings. Although the rumor was that I was courting her which wasn't exactly true.
At Marblestar's words I felt a cold shiver run down my spine. My own mother had been hit by a Twoleg Monster when I was an apprentice, I knew how Skykit felt on that aspect. But my siblings, Kiwidream, Minnowfin and Blackbird were all in SkyClan with me.
"Hey, Skykit I lost my mommy too." I told him, bending down to his eye level. OOC: Burrowleaf is a tall cat xD |

The sight of Skykit crying just broke Marblestar's heart. It didn't take but a moment and she felt tears start to form in her eyes and roll down her face.
Midnightsong watched Burrowleaf try to console Skykit. She thought of him as her brother, and best friend. She had never really thought about romance. In fact, she had always assumed no male in his right mind would want her. No, she just wasn't the type that attracted males. Males always went for the soft-spoken, romantic females; not a determined, strong female with a sharp mind and tongue. And as for her own feelings towards males, the only male she has ever really gotten along with was Burrowleaf[/color]

S.k.Y.k.I.t. Episode 1: Sneaking Out Of Camp I nodded feeling my paws moving as I curled up next to Marblestar's right forleg, taking in the warmpth of a mother-figure to console me.B.u.R.r.O.w.L.e.A.f. Scene One: Sneaking Out of Camp Part Two I looked at Skykit, my blue eyes narrowed with concern.
"Skykit, how would you like to play with me sometime? I could teach you a few hunting tricks!" I didn't like feeling all of this sorrow, it wasn't healthy. |
